The assignment:
I like this one and This one although it has Language in it that is sorta essential, and, I hate to go for extra credit, but I like this one also cause it's funny and I see possibilities in doin' der voices.
So there you go.

Fair enough. I, on the other hand, have been left largely to my own devices today. Perhaps they think I'm contagious since I was home sick yesterday. Hmm. I must try to play this to my advantage.

You shouldn't worry about adhering to the topic. I just assumed that you Texans would be excused from winter-related topics. Every weather report I've seen says it's almost eighty there. Anyway, I liked your song. Do we get to hear these with music any time soon?

Hey, I gave a link. Your Googling was just a little more efficient than mine. Might have something to do with the fact that I'm in class. [gnaws own leg off]

For those of you who might not have any idea what Ms. Sharon is talking about (when does that ever happen?), here.

Aw, Fred. Now I've got that song stuck in my head. In a boring class, it is hard to resist the urge to hum.

re: A task for you
I don't know if it means anything that my two favorites (parenthood and death) are from way back in June, but I'll agree it's a very cool and interesting idea. Let us know how it turns out.

A task for you
This afternoon, we attended a planning meeting for the local radio co-op, who is looking into getting into radio theatre and adding variety to their program. They’re very interested in doing a show about 600 seconds in January, where actors would read selected stories for 10 to 15 minutes, and then they’d interview me about the project for the remaining 15 to 10 minutes. I don’t think I can be interesting for 10 minutes, on just that one topic, but that’s the interviewer’s problem, now, isn’t it.

Would you please, by December 31, post links here, for my reference, of the two stories you wrote that are your favorites, that you would be willing to have read on a radio program?

You're allowed to edit them for minor mechanics corrections, but if you start to sieze up over making it perfect, I will scold you. You can assume that I will clean up any mechanics errors, without changing your wording, voice, or intent, for the program. Feel free to provide specifics on how you'd like your pieces read (e.g., by one woman; as a dialog, but with a separate narrator; as this script adaptation I've written).

I'm sure you know how passionate I am about copyrights. I will ensure that you are credited. The 600 seconds site will also be mentioned. If you don't give me express permission to use a piece, then rest assured that I will not include it in the show.

I think it will be pretty easy for me to get a recording of the show, so I will share that with you if possible. I'm very excited about this.

I thought maybe we'd linked to it, but then I'd have to go looking for it. Much easier to just ask you.

Smartass.

Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice" video. I found it at this weird little site called Invisible City or something...maybe you've heard of it?

[falls off chair, laughing at Mom's song.] Geek! GEEK! Tee hee hee, you're awesome, Mom.

Hey, Fred, do you have a link kicking around to that video? Is that Fat Boy Slim? I think Mom would get a kick out of it. I mean, who wouldn't?

I am, I must say, quite impressed.

I'm taking a guitar class, but the focus is much broader than simply memorizing chords. In two classes, I've learned tons about music theory that I'd never understood before. Bill is encouraging us to compose, so we'll see if I can put some simple chords to my song. Lookit me, making music. ^_^

The one thing that bugs me, though, is that shooting stars are meteorites, not meteors, but that doesn't scan. *sigh* Artistic license.

Hee hee, blog-noir. Nice lead-in, Fred. I smell a challenge.

Playing catch-up. Wish it could be a happier entry.

Distractable Sherbie [distractable distractable]

(That's a reference to a King Missile song. And no, I won't tell you the title.)

Woo, look! Writing! I do remember how to do it.

*whew*
