I think that what I should have said is, If you stand in a strange place, you'll see it better. I mean, whatver, right, but it's one of those treppenwitzen, only I wrote mine down and could have changed it.

Everybody dance like there's ass in your pants!

I posted my post today to the wrong page for a moment. Then, I fixed it. It's deep and alegorical, only, like, so completely not that it hurts me.

Sleeping under a burning bridge gives you nightmares.

Long time, no post. I swear that my entry was related to the theme when I started - it just didn't get around to the relationship in ten minutes.

I finally posted for Monday, but I feel a little bad: technically speaking, monkeys aren't apes.

Whether or not they're zombies, well, that's another story.

At first I was annoyed.
I was irritated.
Wond'rin' why they'd made these changes
to my blog.

Okay, if I keep that up, I'll have to start rhyming. So, 600+ suddendly inherited a toolbar today. *surprise!* After I got past my initial irritation, I went checking through the blog settings and found that (a) I can choose the color, (b) it forces its own styles that override the page margins, and (c) it allows you to search just the blog, which is something I often want to do on 600seconds. So I picked a new color, futzed with margins (munging non-compliant html further into a standards-less abyss), and added it to 600s.

I'm cheating with widths on the template, so please let me know if it suddenly goes all wrong. I'll check it out in Firefox tonight, but I don't have Netscape.

No, it was when I tried to change its status and publish it that I ran into problems and error messages. I had to delete the draft and publish a new post.

FYI, in case it was the source of confusion, posts in "draft" status do not publish until you change their status.

There would have been a topic first thing this morning -- I posted a draft weeks ago -- but Blogger doesn't seem to be working right today. Maybe it's the weather.

Tap-dancing my way through the past, I've tried to catch up with the last few days' subjects, if anyone is interested.

Of course it figures that as soon as the lovely Nyssa sings my praises, I drop out of sight altogether for a few days. Must be those cheeks glowing in embarrassment... or something along those lines.

Thanks, pal, I'll try to live up to that lofty compliment!

Bard of the Apocalypse? Yikes! Actually, I think I'm just the Neighbor of the Beast (my number is 667...).

I guess I don't need excuses not to write. Starting again after about a week's absence.

My Toshi doesn't like Pink neither. She's got an event to point at, though.
She was trick-or treating in California when she was a infink, dressed as Bo Peep. This meant she wore just-altogether-too-much wan pink with frills and laces, complete with little pink bonnet and shoes. At that time in her life, she wore much pink and was enamoured with the colour. On that trick-or-treat run, she approached a house that had been done up to the proverbial nines. In a tree in front of the house, they had rigged up a fakey-human head on a motion sensor, which popped down and skeert th'poor chil'. According to her, she hasn't liked pink ever since.
There's another Halloween story about her which I enjoy very much, although I only heard of it recently. When she was about two, on Halloween, she had no real idea what was going on. The doorbell rang, and she ran to answer it (this was also in California). She opened the door and the kids on the other side said "TRICK or TREEEET," and she panick'd and pass'd out.
So, there's my two ToshiSilliness stories for the moment, inspired by a barely pink post.

All hail Generik, Bard of the Apocalypse!

I guess now that my parents have gotten a cable modem, and I still don't have a job, I don't have any excuse for not writing, huh?

Yeah, I know, hon. Bones heal, joints adapt, sounds like he'll be okay. But those near-misses are damn scary. If he's not up for phone calls yet, send him a card. The cornier the better.

Sorry. I've been kind of on edge the last day or so. I need to reign it in.

Don't get tetchy, Ben. It's early yet. Some of us are writing Software Configuration Management Plans. Or, thinking about committing dramatic and flamboyant suicides to get out of writing Software Configuration Management Plans.

No problem. Don't change the format just for me. I'll adjust, and make sure that I know well ahead of time when I'm scheduled to do another Monday. Now the only thing I have to worry about is when I go out of town for a few days, which I'm going to be doing later this month and next month... and in November... but I'll let all y'all know when that happens. Thanks for listening to my whining.

A bit of JavaScript drives the topic rotation list, so, um, not right now, no. However, you can post ahead of time by forward-dating the post and saving it as a draft.

Good luck with Mondays. Garfield was so wise, so wise...

My apologies for posting a topic so late today, but Mondays are the worst day possible for me to be the one to setting the tone. (Can I be exempt from Monday subject postings from now on? Please? I'll be your best friend!) I thank MisterNihil for vamping until I was ready, and I'm sorry I didn't give him a topic that fit what he had already written. My only excuse is that I had already long ago decided what to pose as a subject today, and so was pretty much locked in once I got the chance to post.

Crikey, I never knew how hard it is to find ten friggin' minutes a day before now...
